International Education and Policy Practice: Ecuador Immersion
In partnership with one of Ecuador’s leading universities, Balance Works designed and hosted the Ecuador segment of a graduate program in International Education. Through site visits and dialogue with key stakeholders, students explored how educational policies reflect political, cultural, and economic realities, and how diplomacy and governance shape global education systems.
A visit to Cuenca and the Universidad Nacional de Educación (UNAE) deepened critical analysis of the Correa administration’s education reforms.
Rooted in local partnerships and experiential learning, the program empowered students to connect policy theory to practice while strengthening their roles as advocates for equity and inclusion.
- Place-Based Learning and Systems Thinking:
Our programs merge in-country fieldwork with critical systemic analysis. Through site visits, homestays, and dialogue with grassroots leaders, scholars, and practitioners, students engage deeply with the socio-environmental dynamics shaping Ecuador’s future.
- Experiential Education with Purpose:
BalanceWorks doesn’t just host a program — we deliver a living ecosystem for experiential learning, rooted in meaningful partnerships and transformational practice.
